Many dogs die of heat exhaustion in the summer!
They love you so much and are so happy to be with you, they will literally walk until they drop! Puggles and Pugs are a bit deceiving in that they are short-haired and seemingly not affected as much by the heat. Nothing could be further from the truth! Take care to make sure your Pugs and Puggles, in fact all dogs, are adequately hydrated and rest them often.
It’s like the saying:
“Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noon day sun!”
Make sure your Pug or Puggle is nicely shaded during peak periods of heat and humidity. They will love you for it and you will have a happy and healthy companion for years to come!
